RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Bouxwiller has extended its capability to manufacture in PP/EVOH/PP, offering customers increased choice in packaging for food requiring a high degree of barrier protection, pasteurisation or sterilisation.
Thanks to a complex structure – achieved through extrusion thermoforming – that is both water- and air-tight, PP/EVOH/PP offers optimum barrier properties for food and clinical nutrition products requiring a longer shelf-life, with 18-24 months possible in certain cases. Similarly, advances in pasteurisation and sterilisation have enabled to use of PP/EVOH/PP for applications that have traditionally been confined to glass or metal, such as tinned vegetables, compotes, jams and baby food.
