21.02.12 RPC Tedeco-Gizeh's Kenfig team delivers for charity

The staff at RPC Tedeco-Gizeh showed a passion for more than manufacturing plastic vending cups last year, enjoying a very successful 2011 rasing money for charity.

The company, which is based in Kenfig in South Wales, has an Employee Forum group that nominates the chosen charity for the year. In 2011 it was Macmillan Cancer Support.

Fund raising events continued throughout the year, culminating on the last working day of the year before the Xmas break at an event when the senior management team dress up and meet with every employee to exchange Xmas gifts. The charity donation buckets are passed around for one final time before adding up the total raised during the year.

In 2011, the RPC Tedeco staff raised some £4,000 for Macmillan. Events during the year included recently retired Bob Oldcorne having his beard shaved, Adrian Pratt and other team members having their legs waxed, Steve White completing a 100km bike ride, David Lowe running the Bristol half marathon and the Great North run, a sponsorship bike to work week, a coffee morning, several employees taking part in a sponsored parachute jump and a car boot sale which saw goods donated from staff sold.

RPC Tedeco-Gizeh extends its thanks and appreciation to all friends, colleagues and customers who donated to the charity campaign during 2011. Further details of the site's activities can be viewed on the company's justgiving website at www.justgiving.com/RPC-Tedeco-Gizeh.
